A weekly visit with the people doing good things around Minnesota. The news that will not ruin your day, and a conversation with somebody worth listening to. Video and audio, and the replays stay up.
What it is
Good news out loud. We run through what happened around Minnesota that week, the ice, the fish, who opened something, who came home, who is playing where. Then we sit down with one person and let them talk.
The guests are not famous. They are the woman who has run the same kitchen for 30 years, the volunteer who kept a shelter application alive through four denials, the 12-year-old with the walleye. People with something to say who have never been asked on the record.
About 20 minutes.
Weekly.
Recorded as video and audio. Both go up.
Free. No membership required to watch or listen.
Where to find it
Episodes go up on our Watch Live page, where the broadcast also runs live when there is one. New episodes are announced on Facebook and in The Landing on Friday mornings.
Replays stay up. If you appeared in one and want out, ask.
Be on it
Suggest somebody. Yourself counts, and so does your neighbor who would never put themselves forward. Tell us who they are and why, in a sentence or two. We do not need a pitch deck.
We will tell you what the conversation is about before we record, we will not spring anything on you, and nothing goes out that misrepresents what you said. The rules are the same as everything else we publish and they are written down in our Editorial Standards.
Sponsor it
Four ways to put your name on the show. Every spot is read out loud by the host, in the host’s own words, from your talking points. Nothing is dropped in by a machine.
15 seconds at the top of the episode, host-read.
30 seconds in the middle, host-read.
This week’s conversation is brought to you by your business.
All three positions, exclusive for the month.
A guest, a question, or a story. Sponsoring the show does not put you or your business in it.
Per episode or per month, listed with everything else we sell.
Somebody around here has a story.
It is probably not the person you would expect, and it is almost certainly not somebody who would call us first. That is what the second half of this show is for.
